Healthy Bones, Happy Body

Building vital bones through diet and movement
Burnsville, NC (June 22, 2013; 9:30am - 1:00pm)

Physical vitality, healthy posture, and graceful movement begin
in your bones, which are considered the source of jing, or vital energy, in traditional Chinese medicine.

Healthy Bones, Happy Body is a half-day workshop that will provide you with the tools and understanding you need to ensure vibrant bone health.

Through hands-on cooking classes, practical theory, and simple postures and movements, you will experience improved flow of energy from this core structure of the body. Topics covered in this workshop include:

  • the best foods to eat for enduring bone strength
  • what bone-damaging foods to avoid
  • postures that "load up" the bones to increase density
  • simple daily movements for strengthening bones
  • easy, nutrient-dense recipes for vital bones

This small investment in your long-term health will result in dietary habits and a daily movement practice that will pay you returns in quality of life for years to come.
